Content	Your asking about a drug called naltrexone (From what I remember Vivitrol is the brand name for the injections). Its a shot they give about once a month to opiate addicts (and alchoholics is some cases). They also have a form of naltrexone they implant into the addict in their abdomen, arm, or butox that lasts about three months. The drug is an opiate blocker and will block the effects of any opiate the user may take. Basically they can't get high. But it's a bit controversial because people have been known to overdose and die after trying to use so much heroin (or any opiate for that matter) to try to get high that it kills them. It also has many side effects that can be very bothersome, especially for an addict who has just gotten clean.
