Content tithis is from starlite11. well my son died from drugs and if i only had known i would have done a tough love approach for i would not give him a choice.either he would willingly go or be out of my life in hopes to save his. this is easy to say and hard to do but in regards to your son on meth he might go to prison for his possion of paraphenalia and maybe not for our laws on drugs are not tough enough.so if not then let go if he refuses help do not support him except if he wants treatment.for if i knew that my son would do heroin i would had to take these drastic measures. you now have the opportunity to do this for your son on meth for methampheteamines make one insane and this insanity will not stop unless he is stopped no matter what. you son in law who smokes pot is in denial too for it is a potential stepping stone to other drug abuse no matter what his rationale this could happen. yes your grand daughter probably already knows but will not say. what about his wife ? A family intervention could be helpful wereas a drug councelor could shed light on this problem along with family and friends who could be of support in a scheduled confrontation get professional advise on how to set up this type of meeting. from a locale counceling center just find one that can help you help him. if he is not willing after the intervention then make it clear his on going drug abuse will not be tolerated same consequences as your son on meth. NO TOLERANCE WILL BE ALLOWED!!!! And after losing my son to drugs and i suppose one might say well how come i did not know well the truth is he was an avid gym goer in great shape with lots of good friends and a great job. he truly loved his life and everyone in it then came that night when he met the wrong peopl at a club and tried heroin that was the end of his life for since he was an athlete with a low heart rate the heroin as explained to me by the chief coroner the purity of this heroin also killed a 27y.o. man that night as well. why my son tried it i will never know but once you lose a child to the drug monster your life will never be the same. i miss my sons love,his laughter,his zest for life,his caring, his handsome stature ,the plans he made to get married and have children will now never be. this is what drugs have taken from me and all who loved him will never know for he is gone forever now in god's care now i only hope someday i will see him 'there" for he never hurt anyone in anyway except the drugs which took him away. so no matter what you choose to do know in your heart even with an intervention or calling the police you willbe helping to get these drug dealers off the streets . even if your son or son in law goes to jail you may be saving their lives and those who care. ihope the best for you. starlite 11
