Content A Whiter Shade of Pale A Whiter Shade of Pale I just caught the end of the interview on FOX news. My heart goes out to the friends and family of Jani. I pray God offers comfort and support during these dark days. I also lost someone very close to me do to a drug overdose. My sister in law Pattie Ammons Mayse died two years ago. Even though its been two years the family still grieves over the loss of their beautiful gentle sister. As a way of expressing the pain of her death I rewrote the lyrics of a very sad song The original song was released by the group Procol Harum in 1967. These are the lyrics I wrote She left her life last evening don't think she meant to go one pill one drink to many twin demons laid her low kneeling by her side now her eyes are open wide and I called out to God plese save my babys life and so it was that later my atttempts to save her fail then her face at first just ghostly turned a whiter shade of pale 2nd verse I knew she had a secret a darkness buried deep inside the way she turned her face away to hide the tears she cried still waiting for an answer just blind to all I see and I called out to God was this really meant to be and so it was that later all attempts to save her fail then her face at first just ghostly turned a whiter shade of pale Linsley Ransom sings these words, if anyone wants a copy I'll send it. God bless all-------dan doran
