Content i have been clean now for 11 months.. I used for 5 years, i lived in a house that had heroin users living with me at the time i didn't us drugs.. by the time i left i was a junkie.. He will never stop unless he cares about him self or loves himself.. Or when he hits his rock bottom.. i was afraid to ask for help.. the words never came out of my mouth until i knew i was going to lose my family.. I"m not going to say i will never use again but just 4 today i wont.. you should be scared for those kids.. i mean i don't know how old they are or anything.. maybe they know what he is doing and doesn't want any part of it.. Have you talked to the grandmother and told her not to let him talk to the mother you have to change everything about your life people places and thing.. it took me along time to want to change.. i shouldn't be here today.. i should either be in jail or dead.. some one was really looking out for me.. tell him to pray.. tell him to take his day minute by minute.. if he doesn't want to change there is nothing you can do.. i wanted to do it for my family.. then i surrendered and did it for myself i had to be selfish well people thought i was being that but really i was just learning how to care about my self and set boundaries. it was hard.. very hard.. just try to go to meeting and understand where us as in addict are coming from it's hard i would never wish heroin upon any one even my worse enemy.. make him go to a halfway house then to a 3/4 house or recovery house they help you be able to live on your own.. save money buy food clothing.. main thing get a job! check in to it..
